Brooklyn love
An article on the proposed Brooklyn Cultural District in the New York Times today. An interesting article on 80 Hanson Street, a building my roommates and I walk by everyday on the way to the subway. A blog dedicated to the neighborhood of Fort Greene. Looking to join a gym in NYC? Here's a comparison for you, still too expensive for me but sometimes if you are lucky like Jane, you can get a sick deal. Too cheap to join those commercial gyms? No friends with gyms in their building? This may be for you, Recreation Centers. But if you must have a commercial gym, here's the last real gym.

Anyone want to be a mentor?

Photo on the right, Williamsburgh Savings Bank. The tallest building in Brooklyn (for now, until Rattner ruins the skyline). It is currently owned by Magic Johnson and some other investors. Feel like owning a piece of it? You can by buying a luxury condo, One Hanson. Why is it important for me? In an odd way, this reminds of UPitt's Cathedral of Learning. Clock hasn't worked since I left Brooklyn. With the scaffolding that went up recently, I hope the thing starts ticking soon. If I ever get that water tower super hero going, this clock tower will be his main base. Yeah.
