I really don't understand what my fascination is with the Star Wars themed Mr. Potato Head series. As a child, I never had a Mr. Potato Head in my toy chest. Why would you? With Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT, ThunderCats, Dino-Riders, Jem, CareBears, Barbie & Ken, My Little Pony and the like available. *Ahem* scratch the last few...

In addition, I never caught the Star Wars bug, come to think of it, I never saw the old Star Wars movies in their entirety. I didn't mind the most recent one though (aside from some poor acting and horrible dialogue). Again, nothing spectacular.

So what is it about the Darth Tater and Spud Trooper that catches my fancy? Do I have some sick potato fetish? Of course not, I despise potato based food products (except sweet potato fries... because they are so freaking sweet). I've been daydreaming about wasting my $20+ for both the Darth Tater and Spud Trooper. They could likely be the first items to adorn my desk when I move on up to marketing. This is a disasterous way to spend my earnings, but the potato fetish overwhelms me.
