"Louis Kahn, who late in life became almost as famous for his aphorisms as his architecture, had strong opinions about the proper use of architectural materials. Ask a brick what it wants to be, the silver-haired designer famously advised, and the brick will respond, "I want to be an arch."
haha yea, i saw this on gizmodo. man we should've done the same thing with all those extra monitors lying around at my firm.
that is really fuckin' rad. ya know, when i was in 5th grade i wanted to be an architect. i even took a class about architecture in the "Talented and Gifted" program that I went to once a week. Got to draw up blueprints and go have the real things printed out. it was a big deal to me, very exciting.
yeah, the monitor arch is very cool.
