It's been a slow start for the year in the design world, has there been any interesting events going on that I've been missing? I guess 2004 went out with a bang so the lack of events in January was a let down. Julie forwarded this link at Style.com to me earlier in the day, apparently this guy designs for Christian Dior. It's out there. All I can think about is Johnny Depp and the Pirates of the Caribbean.

My question is, some of that stuff would actually look good on the slopes I guess, but would the Lunar Gala committee even consider letting stuff like this walk on their catwalk? As an aside, in the world of art, New York artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude's The Gates will be completed this Saturday! I might not be here this weekend, but will most definitely check it out sometime during the week.
