Gran Turismo 4!
Aside from the occassional Counter-Strike Source session (which I am awful at), I've never been a big gamer, except when it comes to racing simulations. I love Gran Turismo, and even encouraged my brother to buy a Playstation 2 just for GT4. This was last year, and after multiple delays, GT4 has finally reached our shores. I was so desperate to play the game, I tried messing with the Japanese version to play on my non-chipped console. No luck there so I've waited till today.

For those of you interested, here are links to the two opening trailers/sequences for the game. Japanese version and English version, the video footage are identical, only difference is the audio. Notice that the Ford GT is the featured car in the introduction. Honestly, how can anyone not appreciate the heritage/history of this particular car?

The question now is whether or not I drop the big bucks for the Logitech wheel. Outpost.com has a pretty sweet deal for the GT4 and Logitech wheel package. Wonder if it'll work on the PS3 and GT5 when it is released?

The original GT40 was developed to kick the crap out of Ferrari, which it did, after ford failed to acquire the exotic make. What formula one racing needs right now is a GT40 reincarnation. I am sick of seeing prancing horse of the podium. Yeah Schumacher is good, but I honestly believe that if it were not for the engineering and team management, we would have more diversified podium standings. Hmm…..I smell a post coming up on my blog.

Well, now that the recently independent Fiat basically 'forced' Ferrari to sell Maserati to them, Ferrari doesn't have a cash cow to continute to support their $400 million annual F1 budget. Hopefully they won't be able to sustain their program like they did in the past which may equate to a more level playing field.

All this to pick up the Alfa Romeo brand, and to a potential IPO of Ferrari... disaster in the works.

I traded in 6 of my old, worthless PS2 games. My friend traded in 5 Xbox games. Productivity is going out the door. I cheated and imported 100K from GT3. Bought an Accord Euro-R (TSX), souped it up, and whipped through the first few race groups. Wondering if I should start over and play it right...

You kidding? Who wants to drive around in a beater. I'm going straight to my GT3 saves and importing that cold hard cash too. And while I'm at it, I'm going to import my licenses. I hear the GT4 license exams are a lot longer...
